What "the brands we work with" actually means
Brand language in HVAC is often inflated, so we keep it honest: Amana is the brand we feature, we install and service Daikin and Goodman, and we repair and maintain all major makes and models. Daikin, Goodman, and Amana actually share a parent company (Daikin), so their parts and platforms overlap more than the badges suggest.
When does the brand matter — and when doesn't it?
Brand choice matters most when you are buying a whole new system you will keep 12 to 15 years. It matters far less for a repair, where part availability and a correct installation drive the outcome. Have the brand conversation when you are weighing a replacement; skip it when you just need a working system fast.
Failure modes: how brand-shopping goes wrong here
- Buying the badge, not the install: a premium brand installed wrong underperforms a mid-tier brand installed right.
- Ignoring salt and humidity: coastal air corrodes outdoor coils, so coil metallurgy matters more than the logo.
- Mismatched components: a new condenser on an old coil forfeits the rated efficiency — see certified matched system.
Proof: what we see in the field since 2000
Across the West Bank, Metairie, and Kenner since 2000 we have serviced essentially every residential brand sold in this market. The pattern is consistent: systems sized with a proper load calculation and installed by trained techs outlast their warranty, regardless of badge. That is why we lead with installation quality, then brand.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does Air It Up only install Amana?
- No. Amana is the brand we feature, but we also install Daikin and Goodman and service every major make and model. We recommend equipment based on your home and budget, not a single badge.
- Is a more expensive brand always better in New Orleans?
- Not necessarily. In our experience the quality of the installation, correct sizing, and corrosion-resistant outdoor coils matter more for Gulf Coast longevity than the brand name on the cabinet.
- Can you repair a brand you didn't install?
- Yes. Our technicians repair and maintain all major brands whether we installed the system or not.
